ABOUT THE BLOG
Hey you,
Thanks for joining me in my little corner of the Internet where I get to blab about music I like, complain about the problems of this ever-changing industry and chat to some incredibly cool people.
I’m Alex, I’m 20 and I’m from Shropshire, England (not exactly the beating heart of the music industry). I’m a music nerd, guitarist and—hopefully one day—a journalist.
I’ve been running this blog since I was 14 (can you believe it?) so I beg you not to scroll to the beginning and find my most embarrassing takes!
Here, you’ll find reviews, interviews, features and opinion pieces. It’s generally quite a wholesome space so don’t expect to see me roasting the latest releases from big names. You’re more likely to find cosy chats with upcoming artists and music to sustain you through tough times.
After all, it was during Covid that I really began pouring energy into this blog. I took the leap and launched an Instagram account. It wasn’t long before I was receiving endless review requests and, well, the rest is history.
Since then, I’ve written for Atomic Vox, a magazine promoting women in the music industry, as well as Fault Line.
These days, I’m studying history and French at Cambridge so you’ll find much of my work in Varsity, the student newspaper. What this does mean is I have much less time for my blog so I apologise if you never hear back from me!
Currently, I’m on my year abroad in Paris so keep your eyes peeled for interviews with French musicians...
